In the morning, volunteers from several Lake County Wineries joined about 20 Six Sigma employees and friends under the centennium-old oak trees in front of our tasting room and began to set up for a first-ever event: The public tasting for People's Choice Wine Awards of Lake County, hosted by Lake County Winery Association. As is natural for Six Sigma Ranch, the setting was ranch-themed. Guests were greeted at the gate by a cowgirl (alias Judy) on horseback and directed to drive slowly and take in the scenery on the two-mile drive to the tasting area at the former stage coach stop in the middle of our ranch.
